Samantha Britton, Wichita, and Eric Satterfield, DeSoto, were married Sept. 5, 2008, in Crested Butte, Colo., with the Rev. Timothy Clark officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dale Britton and Carolyn Stewart, both of Wichita.
The groom is the son of Mike Satterfield, Olathe, and Cheryl Garrett, DeSoto.
Maid of honor was Miya Williams. Best man was Scott Satterfield. Bridesmaids were Kim Squire, Jamie Stewart and Ashley Wedan. Groomsmen were Jason Dugan, Kevin McCurdy and Jason Moore. Flower girls were Samantha Fuller and Rachel McRae. Ring bearer was Jake McRae. Reader was Maggie Holcomb. Program and gift attendants were Amanda Jones and Kathy Sanders.
A reception was given at Grand Ball Room at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square, in Crested Butte.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Wichita North High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology, both from Kansas University. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from KU Medical Center. She is a physical therapist with Kreider Rehabilitation at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and a fitness instructor for the city of Lawrence.
The future groom is a 1993 graduate of De Soto High School. He was a hospital corpsman with the U.S. Navy Hospital from 1993 to 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies-classical and ancient from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a bartender at the Granfalloon in Kansas City, Mo.
The couple reside in Lawrence.

Heidi Haynes, Lawrence, and Brant Bridges, Camarillo, Calif., were married Nov. 9, 2008, in Westlake Village, Calif., with the Rev. Ken Craft officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dave and Jyl Haynes, Lawrence.
The groom is the son of Terry Bridges, Hendersonville, Tenn., and Darcia Bridges, Camarillo, Calif.
Maid of honor was Andrea Bergholtz. Best man was Jordan Bridges. Bridesmaids were Kristen Mort, Alexandra Conway, Laura Callaway, Jeni Phillips and Joelle Zbacnik. Groomsmen were Brian Naumann, Andy Bergholtz, Brett Haynes, Timothy Haynes and Brian Haynes. Flower girls were Lucy Bergholtz, Allison Mort and Lauren Mort. Ring bearer was Andy Bergholtz, Jr.
A reception followed at Westlake Village Inn.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Kansas University in May 2007.
The groom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from University of California-Berkeley.
The couple reside in Camarillo.

Aybike Birerdinc, Istanbul, Turkey, and James Baughman, Lawrence, were married July 18, 2008, at the Istanbul Yacht Club in Turkey.
The bride is the daughter of Ekrem and Ayden Birerdinc, Istanbul.
The groom is the son of John and Pamela Baughman, Lawrence.
Maid of honor was Aytucge Birerdinc. Best man was Jed Baughman. Bridesmaids were Burcu Birerdinc, Denise Sediq, Bilun Alioglu and Claudine Bitel. Groomsmen were Marshall Tidwell, Brian Frederick, Burak Birerdinc and Gokce Yildirim. Flower girl was Dila Ozdoganlar.
A reception followed at the Istanbul Yacht Club. A post-wedding reception was also given on Nov. 28 at Maceli’s in Lawrence.
The bride is a graduate of American High School in Islamabad, Pakistan, and Trinity University in Connecticut. She earned a doctorate in November from George Mason University, Fairfax, Va.
The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. He is employed with Mercer Consulting, Washington, D.C.
The couple reside in Alexandria, Va.

Mitchell and Wanda Holcomb, Waverly, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Kristin Holcomb to Lance Joseph Wessell, both of Lawrence. Lance is the son of Kay and Dave Wessell, Oakley.
The future bride a family service coordinator at KVC Behavioral HealthCare, Inc. in Lawrence.
The future groom is a systems specialist at Kansas University.
The couple plan an Aug. 29, 2009, wedding in Lawrence.

Jessika Robbins and Jake Schoepflin, both of Baldwin City, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Dave and Amy Klamet, Lawrence, and the late Tracy Robbins. She is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in community health from Kansas University in 2004. She earned a registered nursing degree from Neosho County Community College in 2007. She is employed at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
The future groom is the son of Roger and Brenda Schoepflin, Grand Marais, Minn. He is a 1999 graduate of Baldwin High School. He earned a master welder degree from North Central Technical College, Beloit, in 2000. He is employed with Schuff Steel Midwest in Ottawa.
The couple plan a Jan. 2, 2009, wedding at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence.
Anniversary
Ritchie
George and Annette Ritchie, Lawrence, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Lawrence Wesleyan Church, 3705 Clinton Parkway.
George Danny Ritchie and Annette Louise Parks were married Dec. 16, 1968, in Walhalla, S.C.
George works for Girton Propane. The couple also assist youth in the community through various missions.
Their children are Daniel and Marie Ritchie, Denver, and Sarah Ritchie, Lawrence. They have two grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
