Larry and Chris Day celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 17. They met at Brigham Young University and were married in Manti, Utah, on Dec. 17, 1960. The couple lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a year after their wedding. They have two children, Stefani (Christopher) and David (Jennifer), and two grandchildren, Allison and Evan. They enjoy spending time with family and friends in Lawrence, and have both been active volunteers with Lawrence organizations, including Theatre Lawrence, University Women’s Club and Altrusa International, and have served as election poll workers for many years.
