Carrie and Adam Fitts
Carrie Skahan and Adam Fitts were married Aug. 12, 2006, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, with Robert Skahan and the Rev. Michael Mulvany officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Skahan, Overland Park. The groom is the son of Greg and MaryJane Fitts, Murphy, Texas.
The maid of honor was Kristin Patzkowsky. The best men were Austin and Aaron Fitts. The bridesmaids were Miranda Kirk, Ann Liu and Annie Veloz. The groomsmen were Peter Skahan and Levi Garber.
Candlelighters were Letitia Garber and Sara Murillo. The flower girl was Paige Morgan. Ring bearer was Jackson Shehane. Ushers were Kris Fitts, Kyle Fitts, Brett Manifold and Matt Morgan. Lectors were Beth Skahan and Alyssa Fitts.
A reception was given at Alvamar Golf and Country Club.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School and is pursuing a degree is molecular biology at Baker University.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Free State High School and has attended Kansas University. He plans to attend nursing school.
The couple reside in Gardner.

Lindsay and Craig Lee
Lindsay Dawn Nesbitt and Craig Nels Lee were married May 27, 2006, at First Christian Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Randy Beeman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Cathy Nesbitt and Brenda Nesbitt, all of Topeka. The groom is the son of retired Col. Michael and Khristine Lee, Lawrence.
The maid of honor was Mallory Nesbitt. The best man was Scott Lee. The bridesmaids were Stacey Webster, Shannon Nesbitt and Amy Green. The groomsmen were Todd Lee, Ryan Lee and Anthony Le-Roux.
Flower girl was Alora Lee. Soloist was Rebecca Lee. Ushers were John Mackey, Shaun Conway, Eric Tempel and Corey Davis.
A reception, dinner and dance followed at Maceli's.
The bride graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in Tecumseh. She received a bachelor's degree in secondary English education from Kansas University and is employed as an English teacher in the Wichita school district.
The groom graduated from Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg, Germany.
He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from KU and is a second lieutenant in the Air Force. He is stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita.
The couple reside in Wichita.

The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Free State High School and received a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2006 from Kansas University. She is employed as a personal banker at CornerBank.
The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School and is employed at Commerce Bank.
The couple plan an April 21, 2007, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Michael and Brenda Burgett, Topeka, and Robert and Patricia Unruh, Sedgwick, announce the engagement of their children, Brooke Burgett and Matthew Unruh, both of Lawrence.
The future bride graduated from Seaman High School in Topeka and attended Allen County Community College in Burlingame. She is employed as an NCAA academic athletic certifier in the office of the university registrar at Kansas University.
The future groom graduated from Burrton High School and KU. He is pursuing a master's degree in environmental science at KU.
He is employed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Bureau of Air and Radiation in Topeka.
The couple plan a Jan. 6, 2007, wedding at First Christian Church in Topeka.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bill and Shelley Nondorf, Hoxie, and the future groom is the son of Joe and Sharon Thibodeau, Lawrence.
The future bride is a 1998 graduate of Hoxie High School. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in human development and family life in 2002 from Kansas University. She is pursuing a master's degree in early childhood special education at KU. She is employed as a kindergarten special education teacher at Nottingham Elementary School in Eudora.
The future groom is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in secondary history education at KU and teaches tae kwon do at KU and the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department.
The couple plan a Dec. 21, 2006, wedding in Maui, Hawaii, with receptions at later dates in Hoxie and Lawrence.
