In Eudora softball’s regional tournament, Burris was perfect at the bat. In the 16-0 win over Parsons, Burris had two hits in two plate appearances with a home run. She followed that up with three hits in three at-bats against Chanute, including a walk-off grand slam.
Nate Schworm, Lawrence
Schworm had the seventh-best individual score in the 6A Lawrence regional on Tuesday, scoring a 75 at Eagle Bend Golf Course. He led a Lawrence team that finished sixth, and Schworm will be the team’s lone representative at the state golf meet that starts on Tuesday.
