Participants in the Kansas "Sister" March on Saturday met in South Park and walked through downtown Lawrence. The event was a gathering for people to stand for acceptance, food security, health care, earth care, equality and tolerance, according to a news release about the event. The march was in conjunction with events taking place Saturday in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere.
