Letter to the editor: Shining a light on DA’s office
To the editor:
Every time I think of cancelling my subscription to the Journal-World, it publishes a story which justifies the expense. Their recent series of articles dealing with the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office is simply shocking. Instead of effectively prosecuting those who may have committed crimes, senior staff within the current DA’s office appear to either be playing politics or just clowning around. The fourth estate’s (e.g., Journal-World’s) ability to shine a light on the DA’s dysfunction is both essential to our local democracy and grounds enough to extend my subscription.

Lawrence
