Letter to the editor: A serious problem on the KU campus
To the editor:
I write in response to the news article about the KU union for graduate teaching assistants and its efforts to blame Israel for Hamas’ murder of Jews.
Hamas sent terrorists into Israel to (a partial list): rape Jewish women, shoot Jews who attended a music festival and cut the heads off of Jewish babies. Hamas is still holding hundreds of Jews as hostages. Hamas video-recorded its brutal crimes and proudly displays the videos to the world.
Then Hamas started calling for violence against Jews all over the world, and Jew-haters have complied with that request.
If this leads you to conclude that Israel is at fault, you’re telling on yourself. If this leads you to condemn “both sides,” I suggest you re-examine your moral compass.
There is an evil side in this war. It isn’t Israel.
This teachers union is preaching hatred for Jews and is encouraging its members to teach that hatred to KU students. This does not entice me to encourage my son to attend school there.
If this level of hatred for Jews is tolerated (bragged about, even) at KU, we have a serious cultural problem on our hands.
Will Manly,
Lawrence
