Letter to the editor: To Moran and Marshall, uphold your oath

To the editor:

So now the self-anointed president of peace has entangled our country in a war with Iran. He and his administration have no consistent rationale, no clear plan, no concrete objectives, no realistic outcomes and no path to conclusion.

Too many innocent people have already died because of President Donald Trump’s petulant narcissism and Pete Hegseth’s bloodlust. Too many more will die needlessly as this insanity continues.

he vast majority of Americans are outraged. Trump has poisoned everything he has touched. He is a lawless, demented malignancy on our country and the world. His Cabinet is the epitome of incompetence and corruption and a national disgrace.

Jerry Moran and Roger Marshall, Kansas’ two U.S. Senators, voted for every one of them. They are culpable.

It’s past time they and their colleagues stand up for the Constitution and the rule of law. They hold an important leadership position in our country. So lead. They can start by upholding the oath to which they swore. Then they can demonstrate their leadership by advancing ideas on how our country can get out of this nightmare.

We’re watching. We’re listening. We’re waiting.

A Kansas voter.
