Letter to the editor: Party or voters?

To the editor:

As I write this, I once again reflect on why I vote. Why I contact Kansas legislators. Even the ones I cannot vote for but are making decisions that affect my family. Will it make a difference? Will they consider my concern instead of giving into their party? Did their party elect them or voters? Do the Kansas Senate and House elected officials work for all Kansans? I go ahead and write the emails again. I make some phone calls. After all, I continue to hope it makes a difference.
