An 18-year-old Basehor man has been charged with raping a child Saturday in Lawrence.

The man, Trevion Mikel Wilson, was arrested shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday and was charged Monday morning with one count of raping a child under the age of 14, an off-grid felony punishable by life in prison if he is convicted.

Wilson’s bond was set Monday at $250,000 cash or surety and he was provided with a court-appointed attorney. His next court appearance is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday.
