Traffic was being redirected at the intersection of East 1450 Road and North 1900 Road north of Lawrence on Wednesday afternoon as first responders attended to a two-vehicle accident.

McKenzi Ezell of Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical said the accident occurred at 1898 East 1450 Road at 1:31 p.m. At least seven vehicles from LDCFM and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene, according to the PulsePoint app that provides information to community members during emergencies.

At the scene, a black car was in a ditch along the right side of East 1450 Road, and a tan vehicle was stopped on the left side of the road, with several first responders attending to its driver.

Ezell said there were three patients who were all determined to have only minor injuries.
