Topeka man injured in crash in Douglas County, according to report

A man was injured in a crash while he was merging onto Interstate 70 early Sunday, according to a crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Mycheal Brown, 35, of Topeka, was driving a Chevrolet Avalanche around 5:22 a.m. Sunday, according to the report. He was attempting to merge onto westbound Interstate 70 in North Lawrence when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason, according to the report; he then overcorrected, and the vehicle rolled and then came to rest on its side in the exit lane.

Brown was ejected from the vehicle, and he was taken to the University of Kansas hospital, according to the report. He was not wearing a seat belt, the report says.
