No injuries reported in fire at Lawrence Conoco; cause still under investigation

No one was injured in an overnight fire at the Conoco convenience store in eastern Lawrence, according to a news release from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 2220 Harper St., Suite B, at 3:39 a.m. Thursday, according to the release. Flames were showing when crews arrived. The firefighters started an interior fire attack, and the fire was brought under control at 4:12 a.m., according to the release.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation and damage estimates were pending as of Thursday morning, according to the release.
