More than two weeks after a woman was found bound and unconscious in Lawrence, law enforcement has provided no further information about the incident.

Reached via email Tuesday, Osage County Attorney Jack Hobbs said that the matter was still under investigation by the Osage County sheriff and that he would consider potential charges once he had received the complete contents of the investigation.

Late on Saturday, Nov. 2, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of the building that previously housed the Lawrence school district’s Wakarusa Valley School, the Journal-World reported. There, they found a woman bound and unconscious inside a Chevrolet Silverado.

Deputies took the woman to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, and Osage County detectives took over the investigation from there, the Journal-World reported.

Osage County dispatch Tuesday morning said the office had nothing to provide right now. Dispatch was unable to answer whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

The school building, 1104 East 1000 Road, now houses the Lawrence Virtual School and Greenbush Resource Center. It’s roughly 3.3 miles as the crow flies southwest of the Kansas Highway 10 interchange at Iowa Street/U.S. Highway 59.
