The man who died after crashing his motorcycle over the weekend near Eudora was James Young, 62, of Bismarck, N.D., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The office released the man’s name Monday morning, in an email from Sgt. Kristen Channel.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of North 1400 Road, just east of Eudora.

Young was driving westbound when his motorcycle left the road and crashed, Channel said previously. He was not wearing a helmet. He died at a Kansas City area hospital, where he was taken after the crash.
