More military aircraft to fly over KU stadium Saturday, with a practice run on Friday

Another military flyover at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium is planned for Saturday’s Homecoming football game at the University of Kansas, KU announced Thursday.

About 10 minutes before the 2:30 p.m. kickoff of the KU-Iowa State football game, four T-38s, piloted by the 25th Training Squadron out of Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, will fly over the stadium from south to north.

The squadron will have a practice run of the flyover at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The last flyover was Sept. 2, when A-10C aircraft from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, flew over before the Jayhawks played the season’s first game.
