Penguin Project at Theatre Lawrence to present Disney’s ‘Frozen JR.’

The Penguin Project at Theatre Lawrence will present three performances of Disney’s “Frozen JR.” next week.

The Penguin Project is an annual musical production that casts youths aged 10-21 with developmental disabilities in all roles. The youths are partnered with on-stage peer mentors.

The show will run from July 11 to July 13. Performances on July 11 and July 12 will be at 7 p.m. at Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive. The show on July 13 will be at 2:30 p.m.

Theatre Lawrence is one of more than 50 nationwide chapters engaging in the Penguin Project.

“Frozen JR.” is based on the 2018 hit Broadway musical and features songs from the animated film.
