The Lawrence Jewish Community Congregation will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its Blintz Brunch fundraiser next month.
This year’s event is billed as an opportunity to enjoy Jewish comfort food, to participate in an interfaith event and to support the Jewish community.
People can order frozen blintzes and other items online during October and pick them up in person on Nov. 5 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the LJCC, 917 Highland Drive.
Items for sale online will include cheese blintzes, challah, babka, rugelah and, new this year, black and white cookies, according to a news release from LJCC.
For the past few years, the event has been strictly a grab-and-go affair, but this year the LJCC is inviting people picking up orders to come inside and enjoy coffee and a selection of member-baked goods. Blintzes will not be served onsite, but must be pre-ordered, then picked up on Nov. 5.
