The City of Lawrence will be redesigning its website, lawrenceks.gov, in the coming months, and it’s looking for input on how residents navigate and find information on the current site.
In a news release Tuesday, the city said it was working with IT company Granicus on the redesign, and that the initial phase would be about the site’s navigation, design and accessibility. The city anticipates the new site will be ready by April 2026.
The city is asking residents to take a 10-question survey, which asks why they visit the city’s website, how well they think the site is organized and what new features they would like to see, among other things. That survey is open through 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, and can be accessed at surveymonkey.com/r/6KFXZJ3.
Another change has been happening at the city’s website recently, too, though it’s less visible than a redesign would be. Throughout this year, the city has been rolling out its transition from its previous .org domain to a .gov domain, as the Journal-World reported.
