Letter to the editor: A mother’s right
To the editor:
A mother in difficult circumstances who chooses life for her child should have the right to choose what kind of agency helps place her baby and the values of the family her child is raised in. A mother’s right should be protected. In some states this is no longer the case, making House Bill 2687 and Senate Bill 401 necessary. These bills place no restrictions on anyone’s right to adopt since there are many adoption agencies in Kansas that are not faith based. The two bills simply protect a mother’s right to choose a faith-based adoption agency.
