Florida suspect arrested in Kansas murder
Kansas City, Mo. ? A Florida man was arrested Wednesday at Kansas City International Airport after being charged in a Kansas murder.
Rory Markel Foster, 25, was charged in Allen County, Kan., with first-degree murder, aggravated arson, aggravated battery, aggravated kidnapping and criminal threats in the death Wednesday of Briawna Rae Hardrick, 19, of Iola, Kan.
Hardrick’s body was found on a burned mattress early Wednesday by Iola police who had been called to her duplex. An 18-year-old woman escaped the blaze.
Foster was arrested at a car rental business at the airport. He had traveled from Florida to Iola to return the son he had with Hardrick, Iola Police Chief Walt Kuykendall said.
