Smart Code discussion pulled from Tuesday night's agenda

City commissioners have decided it is not smart to talk about the proposed Smart Code in the middle of a snowstorm. Commissioners have pulled consideration of the Smart Code from their meeting Tuesday night. They’ve rescheduled the issue for their Jan. 6 meeting. Several groups that have concerns with the new code asked that the discussion be delayed because of the weather. The Smart Code is a proposed development code that would give developers new options for building, denser, mixed-used neighborhoods. That is the only issue that's been removed from the agenda for the meeting, which begins at 6:35 p.m. at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
