Lawrence Police responded on only one disturbance this Wednesday morning. Tuesday morning, Officers handled 21 disturbances.
Around 2:15 a.m., Lawrence Police were called to the intersection of W. 6th Street and Wakarusa Drive on a report of a non-injury accident. An officer arrived to report the person inside of the vehicle appeared to be unconscious. Medics were dispatched to the scene and reported the vehicle had sustained "major damage" in the crash. The occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. No other serious injuries were reported this morning.
