Most of the discussion today in Kansas political circles is centered on Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama’s selection of a vice presidential nominee because a certain governor is apparently in the mix.Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is also slated to speak at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Denver. Announced today though, another Kansas politician will get some stage time in front of a convention audience.Sen. Sam Brownback, a major supporter of presumptive GOP nominee Sen. John McCain, will speak Sept. 4 on stage the same night McCain will deliver his acceptance speech. The Republican National Convention is Sept. 1 through Sept. 4 in Minneapolis.
