Geez, I had a complaint yesterday and had one response from LJW about this stupid "CRAVE" paper that ends up in my mailbox. It came from that forum where people are asked questions from random places in Lawrence with their picture.....Same complaint today. Why am I complaining? Tell you the truth am not a "Green" person but am sick of the waste of postage and stupid coupons that fall out of this stupid paper. PLEASE STOP.

I did get a reply from someone from LJW but I have no idea who this person is. My reply:

"Hi. I just checked and someone named Alex emailed me to try to help me out. However, he/she wanted to know my email address to forward to someone higher up.

...Thanks for the "help" Al......However, that stinks. You tell ME who to ask for, Please. I think I can take care of it from there. I really do not like getting that stupid "CRAVE" in my mailbox - not a door hanger".

Any suggestions???

Sure! We do it with welfare and those parents make a choice to have more kids. Teachers don't make the choice for larger class sizes.

Government workers get paid what the voters say they get paid.

Send half of the kids to work in the trades and free up resources for the gifted student that actually have a chance to succeed.

well i be.... the teacher should make sure her/ his agenda for the day is on hit for the children can have time to ask question.. be thankful that kids are coming to learn and not skipping. i do agree that classes ought not be real big in the first place..

We should not have these large class sizes. Use the money to hire more teachers, and keep class sizes small.

Should not pay teacher by the head, by how many young noggins s(he) can wrangle. If you do that, everybody gonna end up short-changed one way or another. Just IMO but I am not a teacher & do not ..uh...have any class?

They deserve CEO salaries and CEOs deserve their salaries. Teachers have to train tomorrow's leaders.

Teacher Salary Support

Would you favor a sales tax increase to provide more money for Lawrence teacher salaries? http://www2.ljworld.com/polls/2003/mar/teacher_salaries/

80% of 5,198 votes said yes. Not many polls attract 5,198 voters.

how about we stop wasting money on projects that are abused such as road work were they have 5 people doing the job that 2 can do and put that money back into education.

Isn't that what para-educators are for?

All things being equal, maybe. But I just can't imagine how one would make all things equal.

What? How about paying them based upon their degrees, experience, and success?

Nah, merit has no place in public schools in Kansas. Nope, in Kansas, our conservatively controlled governing body prefers the Wall-Mart or K-Mart version........

Ya get what pay for…..
