We live in rural DG county. We have the fastest Knology provides, and are damn glad to have it, after years of dial up.

Nope. And when the sun hits the back of the house, I lose internet until the sun goes down and many channels on television pixillate or go out completely.

It's not so much the speed but the ridiculous bandwidth caps.

Cancelled my service earlier this week and Knology wanted to know why. I told them their price hikes and bandwidth limitations are rediculous. They're the only service I've ever heard of with limitations, and I've had Sprint DSL, Cox Cable, Time Warner Cable, Everest Cable, Knology Cable, AT&T U-Verse, Comcast Cable over the past 12 years.

Well, AT&T started limiting, or adding dollars for breaking their arbitrary limits, the first 7 years no caps and now slower loading pages, seems the newer the pc the slower, probably just a bad home IT person

Currently satisfied. When I see how green the grass is on Google's side of the fence, though, I may change my mind.

Hey, when it's not working I get up and do what's important . . .

Where we live in rural Douglas County we have no choice but Hughes.net. It's slow and has caps, but it does beat dial-up. What ever happened to the idea of adequate broadband for the county? The Journal World sent out a survey asking about future participation several years ago?

Freenet proposed a system to the County several years ago and the county commission shot it down.

Living in S. Douglas County. Huges Net was slower than the 7 yr itch. Finally hooked up with Mercury Wireless out of Topeka, and it is fast enough for me. (1.5 m Down and 1m up)

No. But my wife thinks I'm too fast and need to see a doctor.

Anyone using the Verizon hot spot as their main internet provider?
