I bet most people who don't like baseball are republicans=America haters.
Screw the Cardinals. Royals forever.
Most people who do like baseball are either accountants, or tight-arsed types like George Will. Don't think party affiliation has anything to do with it, more for to do with any OCD tendancies. Also, many permanently lost interest back in the late 1990's or whenever the players strike occurred.
I gave up baseball during the strike in the mid 90's.
Neither. Baseball is boring and the games are too long. I gave up baseball after the George Brett era and the Royals began thier long decent to being horrible forever.
I'd rather watch underwater golf.
National league plays real baseball and it's only boring if you're a causal fan. It's the history that makes it great.
I love baseball. I get so caught up in the game. I am a Red Sox fan and it kills me when it is the bottom of the ninth with one out to win the game, they get two strikes and then, wham, someone hits one out to center field, where the player is contemplating that cold one he is going to have after the game. It takes so long to get that last strike that I am a nervous wreck before it is through.
I like to look the pitcher right in the eye, so to speak, and tell him, okay, look the batter in the eye, let him know that you are the best closer in baseball, you are smarter than he is, you are better then he is and you are going to take him out of the game.
You go, dude!!!
I like to have baseball on the tv when I am home. I like the game, but also the commentary. A couple trips each year to see the Royals is always fun.
I too gave up baseball after the strike!
