At what cost has he created those jobs? What other jobs has he cut? He needs to get out!

"Among the incentives offered to lure the plant include a package from Topeka and Shawnee County governments worth more than $9 million, including free land for the factory and wind energy generation.
The state of Kansas offered tax incentives and work force training programs to Mars. Gov. Sam Brownback and Commerce Secretary Pat George said Mars would be able to take advantage of new incentives for capital investment that allow firms to expense the purchase of new equipment." http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2011/jun...

rc77, I guess you do support the jobs lost with Boeing's departure then, right? I mean, the good comes with the bad. If he gets credit for one, shouldn't he get the blame for the other?
jafs 1 year, 4 months ago
If you add up the government jobs cut, and these lost jobs with any new ones created I wonder what the total would be, and whether or not it would be a net gain or loss of jobs.
Does anybody have that info?

I wonder if anyone ever saw a bumper sticker that said "EAT THE RICH"? I'd love to see an Occupy Topeka statehouse to get rid of this governor. What do we need for a recall?
Paul R. Getto 1 year, 4 months ago
FBB: A new election. Just because you don't like his policies is not grounds for recall. Will you vote in August to save a sane senator? That's a good start.

to be fair everyone needs to pay taxes, period!!
deec 1 year, 4 months ago
Everyone does. Sales taxes and/or property taxes, social security taxes, income taxes.
beatrice 1 year, 4 months ago
Actually, I agree. All but the poorest of the absolute poor should be paying federal income taxes, in my opinion. However, why should a wealthy person, because of loop holes in designating the way pay is distributed over time as "dividends" pay 15% on the money they make on the job if I am paying double that? Do you really think the money Mitt Romney made through working at Bain should be taxed at a lower rate than money made by someone making a living from the sweat of their labor?

Show me an elected official who actually supports the "working folks" and I will show you a one term official. The folks don't get thousands of dollars in support money from you and me. They get it from the rich. Those are the ones who are taken care of by the elected bums. The bottom third of the food chain are just screwed. Have been and forever will be. Get used to it.

Only decision he could make without a solid plan. Also, why should we be refining oil that can still go to China?
You think a restaurant shouldn't be able to set the prices for items on their menu?

I'm calling for brains to OCCUPY Nancy Pelosi's head but sadly no evidence that will ever happen. As for Brownback's tax plan, I need more data.
JackMcKee 1 year, 4 months ago
If you want more data don't rely on the garbage coming out of Brownback's office.

KS is not TX We cannot make up the lost revenue with no income taxes. We will be nickel and dimed to death and all the tax burdens will be shifted to the cities and counties. They are kidding themselves. KS has no Oil Revenue like TX
KS doesnt have the population of TX Look up Art Laffer Ponzi Scheme - The brains of our Tax Policy
