I think there are two reasons why KU beat Georgia tech. One is they were humiliated by being beat the previous week by a second rate school from division two. The second part is, Georgia Tech came in expecting to roll over KU.
I predict they will lose this game.
Plus, GT made too many mistakes on which the 'hawks were able to capitalize.
NOPE, THEY STILL ARE NOT VERY GOOD.
Not that it will change anything for the negative nancy types, but we will be just fine in this game.
What you all need to remember (or be aware of if you didn't know) is that our current wide reciever coach, and co-offensive coordinator is Darryl Wyatt. Where did coach Wyatt work before coming on board at KU? That's right...he was the ofensive coordinator at none other than Southern Miss. I really don't think he's forgotten the ins and outs of their defensive schemes.
50/50 GTech thought it'd be a breeze here. SMiss won't but we should still be on some game winning high.
Our game against Southern Miss. wasn't very pretty last year and we still had Reesing/Meyer/Sharp. I don't hold out much hope for this one.
Oops. Meier, that is.
KU should throw more long touchdown passes; and get the ball moving; the running game is too slow...............
KU could get beat, but if the KU team that played Georgia Tech shows up they'll be hard to stop. This is still a fairly young team, but they've still got some talented and solid veteran leadership. KU is certainly going to lose some more games this year, but I'm not sure Southern Miss will be one of them.
On a side note, I love how every time KU plays a good ACC team (GT, VA Tech, etc.) everyone expects them to get destroyed by what is obviously a far superior ACC team. Then when KU beats them everyone talks about how the ACC isn't a very strong football conference. However, it's very important to note that while GT is a very good football team, their offense is totally one dimensional. KU has had a pretty leaky pass defense the last few years so it will be interesting to see what happens when we play more teams with balanced offenses.
i kinda hope that they lose!!
