here's another helping of fear for you society. don't forget to stock up on anxiety medications to handle all the fear thrown your way. maybe if we give away a few more of our liberties we can finally feel safe....

Probably a better chance of getting robbed / carjacked / shot when attending a ball game downtown than getting caught up in a terrorist attack. Or being hit by some texting idiot. So no. But, as already mentioned above, the threat of complications due to ever-changing TSA rules definitely makes me think twice about air travel when it's a relatively short trip.

We're being terrorized right here everyday in the good ol' US of A by our very own extremists.

There, thats better.

Bush/Cheney were advised by military officials not to invade Iraq for all of the reasons we see today.

How can it be possible for the USA government to keep killing innocent men, women and children daily yet not piss people off?

How can it not piss people off when our military forces the over throw of a country's oil industry for the primary benefit of the USA and Britain?

The USA government is abusing the military and making it dangerous for USA citizens to travel abroad.

Stop the needless killing and abuse of the military! Bring the troops home!!!

Reports say Al qaeda is out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Why are we still there? We had no business destroying these countries!

Reports also say Pakistan is becoming very pissed off and is about to explode and they have nuke weapons and have had for many years.

It's time for Bob Gates to stop pushing. Better yet fire Bob Gates!

If we only had a President that would apologize to everybody, the rest of the world would love us.....

A terrorist threat would keep me from going abroad, and a NON-terrorist threat would keep me from going abroad. Basically I don't have any extra money to travel abroad. I blame it on the republicans.

I think about the three hikers in Iran and think what in God's name were they thinking? In my mind, it's just asking for trouble. We have plenty of mtns to hike here in the good ole USA. Sure wouldn't go to certain places in Mexico right now either.

I had more money to travel abroad when Republicans were in control. Now, not so much.... I blame that on the Democrats.

ivalueamerica 7 years, 2 months ago

I would not travel if it were a zombie attack.

@fancy80, I find it incredible that Bush took office with a strong economy and record deficit reduction and left office with record debt, a failing economy, 2 wars without aim or focus, lowest approval ratings in history, a healtcare system that fully a third of Americans could not afford, a downward spiral of job loss, a housing and credit crisis not seen since the great depression and you blame the dems for not fixing it in less than 2 years a nightmare that took 8 long years to create....interesting reasoning. I wish I could go on blind faith regardless of facts too, but alas and alack, I was raised different.

Ivalueamerica, Don't be silly, I don't blame the Dems for not fixing the problems in less than 2 years. I blame the Dems for their part in causing some of the problems. Blind faith is believing everything you hear on MSNBC and CNN. Blind faith is blaming everything you listed above on one man, especially given the fact that the Dems had control of the House and Senate for the past four years.
My comment as to blaming the Dems was more of a sarcastic goof on del888 who blames the Republicans. Don't want to argue with you, you're entitled to your opinion. This country is in a mess and it took more than one man to cause it. It's going to take more than one man to fix it, and it is way more complex than blaming it on Bush. But hey, go with what you are good at.
