All of the above, then everyone wanting to bug me. When I'm sick just leave me the fudge alone.

The worst is still having to go to work or class even when you barely have the energy to get out of bed, have a throbbing headache, raging fever, chills, cough, sore throat and everything else that goes with being sick. As if being physically ill isn't bad enough, you don't even get a chance to recuperate.

Mom on her death bed, looked up, and said " no wonder people complained about being sick, it's awful". bless her heart.

Definately the sinuses. And the ears plugging up.

Difficulty sleeping, daytime television, no appetite... Those sound like they can all be cured by pot! Personally, I hate my nose/sinuses being plugged up and getting behind in school.

Kind of like what Pywacket said: Neighbors laughing at you when you go out to get the paper cuz you look worse that what the cat drags home or you've drunk two quarts of whiskey the last 24 hours Being so sick you can't get to the doctor's office Fainting, waking up on the cold hard tile kitchen floor then notice you broke the door on your way down. Fever, chills, dehydration and the thought of food makes you want to puke Want food and can't get it together to fix something or nothing you'd want to eat Feeling like you're gonna die Having to crawl to the bathroom Sure that you're going to die Having to sleep on the cold bathroom floor Hoping you die really soon cause you're getting really ticked off! Then you're on the road to recovery

The high temp (accompanied by intermittent chills) and mostly the achiness. When I get the flu, it hits hard and fast. I was on the phone with my brother one day, and told him I had to hang up......got dizzy and w/in about ten minutes, I was down.....ended up just a bad flu---high temp. and achy up the wazoo.

The worst....mom/wife/concerned family member/whatever...keeps coming in to ask "can I get you anything"? NO. Juice? No. Tea? No. Water? No...on second thought, get me a pistol and two bullets........

The financial loss of having to miss work (if no sick pay or it's already been used or not accrued enough) coupled with paying a doctor and a pharmacy.

Just being slowed down, not feeling like getting things done that I want or need to get done, and not being able to get out to exercise as much as usual. Then again, maybe all that exercise is why I can't remember the last time I was sick. It's been at least a couple of years.

Staying home from a desk job for a day to try to try to get some rest and ending up doing something like re-sodding the lawn. I keep trying to convince myself that going to work is easier than staying at home, but it just hasn't sunk in yet.

The way that lasagna looks on its return voyage? Neighbors seeing you with bed head and your ratty bathrobe when you take the dog out? Hitting your head on the brick hearth when you pass out--then having a giant purple lump on your head on top of being sick? Missing Hawaiian Friday at work?

Gosh. It's so hard to know what is the absolute worst. Why don't we try to look on the bright side?

Best part of being sick?

Passing it on to your enemies with a warm, hearty post-sneeze handshake... Having a great excuse to take Oxycodone.... Having to puke after leaving Walmart and doing it on the hood of some BMW that's parked diagonally across 4 spaces... Missing Hawaiian Friday at work.
