To me, basketball season is over whenever my Hawks loose their last game. Haven't looked at my bracket or watched a game since the loss Saturday. As tough as it was to loose that game, on the bright side, every day now is one day closer to basketball season starting again!

I actually tried to watch a womens basketball game on TV the other night. It was so boring and lame that I couldn't make it longer than about 15 minutes. They all have very little skill and are not worth the airtime in my opinion. Any high school boys team would slaughter even the best womens team.

Men who are college students play basketball at KU? Really? ;-)
If you are used to watching a game where it's all about the dunk and shooting the 3, where the mid-range jump shot is all but gone, and where almost no one plays defense well as a team effort, and where most BCS players just play to be drafted and don't care about graduation, then maybe you would have a hard time appreciating the women's college game.

Unfortunately, I took the time to watch the KU women play at K-State. I was embarrassed to be a KU alum/fan and vowed that I wouldn't waste my time watching them again. I've seen high school girls play better than our team played that day. K-State worked their offense at will while KU looked like a team that had never been coached to play defense, run an offense, box out and rebound, screen, transition, get into proper lanes, yada yada yada. After that game, it dawned on me that this team represented Lew Perkins only coaching hire. Not good!
