What about never?!!!!
I was looking for that button, too. That would be my response.
"Never" has been added.
I'm with BigDave on this one: NEVER. Why isn't that an option?
Why is "Never" not an option?
What do they mean by lottery? Powerball, never. I'll buy a $1 scratcher every blue moon when I'm getting gas or something. Win something worthwhile every blue moon's worth of blue moon's.
When I worked in the gas station, I always felt sorry for the poor schmucks who bought $10 to $20 worth of lottery tickets a day. All of them always said that they came out ahead, too. I thought about asking how detailed of cost/benefit records they kept on the subject, and thought better of it.
Never should have been an option.
The lottery is a tax on those who can't do math.
To those who play: Thanks you so much for taxing yourself voluntarily. Keep it up!!!
After taxes that's about $43.56
I see what you did there.
Only when the Powerball jackpot is over $100 million. Anything less is not worth my time. lol
If someone tells me it's over $200 million, I might buy one if I happen to be in a store with a machine, but otherwise no. I figure $1 or $2 per year isn't going to break the bank.
that's usually when i play it too. lol
Never! I work too hard for my money to give it away. I don't go to casino's either. Just not my thing...
My favorite is when you see people struggling to put food on the table go out and buy $20 worth of lotto tickets...smooth move with your odds there, Einstein.
Strong lack of knowledge in making polls.
Where is the NEVER option?
$2 per week usually, never any more than that. I hit the Hot lotto for $1500 in March, 2009 so still playing with house money.
"the lottery is a tax on stupid people" can't remember which comedian said that.
It's funny cuz it's true.
Never. I'm like the Scotsman who prayed every night to win the lottery. Finally one night, God responded, "Angus, you could at least buy a ticket!"
I picked never. If it was added later, then the poll results are pretty useless as a sample.
An LJWorld poll, useless?
I think a better question is what is the percentage of lottery players that are on some form of government assistance! That would be very interesting to know.
