I lived in Reno NV for a year and seen too many people and families struggle with gambling. Wives picking up husbands checks at noon and it is all gone before they get home, people taking out loans to gamble. I think is is fine IF you know when to stop. But to many people don't know when to stop. It really is sad to see, that they would risk everything, to press their luck.

I have relatives who are in that 10+ category. Haven't called me for money yet...

I'd never been in one and I went in one at Niagara Falls for a couple of hours and spent $100. I won a little, lost that too... I treated it like a day at the ballpark. I'm not really into gambling, but it was interesting to see a real casino. I'd only seen them in movies.

I had a family reunion thing in Reno last year at a Casino-hotel. About 50% of the slot machines were "Lucky Larry's Lobstermania." The Rat Pack would be so ashamed....

Yeah, I'm a bit of a teetotaler...

The closest I ever get to gambling (or in this case a slot machine) is putting a dollar in a change machine...I get back 4 quarters..100% payback 100% of the time!

If I'm feelin' real crazy I might put a $5 in...when it spits out those 20 quarters it kinda sounds like a slot machine (minus the bells and lights.....) you have the clinking of the coins.....!
