Not sure if it's the same here, but in Boston we only had to go to school for like 30-60 minutes the first day of the year...how could you NOT like that?!?!

I think there is a difference between "had to go to school for like 30-60 minutes the first day" and "staying for 30-60 minutes the first day"........

Our 4th child starting school was one of the happiest days of my life! Kidding - but I really did enjoy the kids' first days of school.

didn't have to go and check on my nieces and nephew at their home. nor did i have to bother with keeping them. anyways, the fun is over and school must begin!

I never liked going back to school as a kid. Summer break was always better. And as a parent, I don't like getting up so dang early to get the kids ready for the bus. So I vote none of the above.
