Not with prices like they are. I'll take the smaller grandkids to see the livestock but you can keep the rest of it.Carnies are scary, the rides don't look all that safe and I have better ways to spend my money.$20 for a bracelet! Geez! That's a new outfit for school.Multiply that by 6 and I can get 2 new tires for the car. It's NOT Worlds of Fun!!

Yes, and you can go to Worlds of Fun for $30 (even less for younger kids) with the discounts they're offering. And the rides do more than just go around in circles.

And their employees are a lot less scary!

My kids start looking forward to the next year's fair (particularly the carnival) as soon as we get home from it. Even though it's expensive, I couldn't deprive them of the whole local county fair experience -- scary expensive rides, carnies, junk food, heat and humidity.

I think more people would go if they didn't plan it on the hotest month of the year, if your going to have a fair with 100 degree temps you should make it a lot cheaper. Or plan it in July or Semptember.

Scarborough Fair yes. Hoping Sarah Brightman would ask me to go with her.

I thought the pork burger at $3. was the best sandwich deal I had all year. The hand dipped corn dog was exceptionally good. 2 for $5. We both ate and the tab was $11. bucks.
I do think they should have those misters. It wasn't so bad today.
I think Kansas should schedule shorter heat waves too. It is tiring. I haven't cooked for weeks except for some jello. I used fresh raspberries and bananas,
