Onion rings at Puffy's Steak and Ice House in Maple Hill. Hands down, the best onion rings I've ever eaten.

Onion rings. But I have to tear it and pull out the onion and eat the crust. Love the flavor but hate the slimy texture on the onion itself. With Heinz 57

Fries with nothing on them. I love 'em them in their natural state.

I agree with honored vet....both...dip fries in a hot fudge milk shake and onion rings in catsup....and I wonder why I need to Zuma!

beawolf -- Now that is harsh! Genuine laugh inducing, but harsh! Thanks for the belly laugh.

Any Sopranos fans out there? It was onion rings for Tony and family in the final scene. For the series, the conclusion just wouldn't have been as powerful had he simply ordered a basket of curly fries. No, a great onion ring has texture and subtlety -- crisp on the outside, using a flavorful batter, and they have to be made with the sweet Vidalia onions only. Like the show itself, a great onion ring has character and panache.

However, if I have to listen to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" while eating my onion rings, then I'll just go for the fries.
