How can anyone answer no or I dont know to this question. He broke his public trust as will as the law and he's the governor and former AG of NY state. Of course he should resign it a no brainer.

It makes perfect sense. He would have to give up his hobby if he remained in office. So by removing himself, less sneakn, more freakn.

There will be the few partisans who will contend that this is "only about sex," again failing to accept that an elected official can't be allowed to break laws on a selective basis.
Spitzer violated who knows how many laws, and has to pay the price.

At least he didn't look directly into the camera and say,"I did not have sex.....etc!" Saved taxpayers some money.

of course he should resign and then his wife should be able to kick his butt on pay per view. it wouldnt have been so bad if he wasnt such a huge jerk to others when he busted them. what a weenie.

Shades of Clinton? Well....$..... was involved but infidelity is a betrayal of trust not only between him and his wife but a betrayal of moral values that the American public expects out of their president.
