Sorry, jack___, but it's not the roads or road conditions that bother me driving in Lawrence. It's being around morons - like you.

starbucks (Anonymous) says: When are people going to start using the lane from 23rd street onto iowa as a yield, not as a stop and wait for a clearing? IDIOTS.*****Hey idiot, that is what you are supposed to do at a yield sign. there is traffic you stop and wait for a clearing. It is not a MERGE sign where you speed up and move into traffic. It's jerks like you that treat that lane as a merge lane that make it a hassle to get to Hastings from Iowa.

In the rain at night is harder for me since I got bifocals. In the rain on the motorcycle is particularly unpleasant no matter what time of day.

Straight into a 30 mph wind with driving rain. My ball always hooks or slices like crazy when driving in conditions like that.

I picked night as I don't see as well at night. My car would pick heavy traffic. It runs too hot sometimes.

Costa Rica - potholes as big as cars. Saudi Arabia - crazy Saudi drivers. Either of those places makes driving here seem relatively easy.

Forget any traffic signs just keep on driving unless there's a cop car near by.

The week students come back to school...all those poor kids who have no idea what any of the lane markers or signs mean.

Driving around the muddy campground chasing hippies during a hail fun.

Still having the reading comprehension problems, eh, jackie? If you could read you'd even know what I drive. But then, you might have to include facts for once in your meandering blabbering, and we all know you never back up your drivel with facts, do you?Isn't it time to get off the rec room computer, jackie, don't the old ladies want play canasta, and stop listening to the doddering old man rambling on about his glory days as a brakeman on the Old No. 9 (and how unfair it all was that the engineer didn't let him play with the whistle), before the great government conspiracy took his precious choo-choos away?

Upon reflection, I probably deserved to have that post removed. Young Thai boy prostitute humor has never gone over well with Site Staff and I should haveremembered that bit of history.--toba wise man admits his mistakes. in a humorous way, I was, in my deleted post, identifying that as a bit far out. you know, the driving conditions that really get me:wen people don't get outa the way, ... on the sidewalk. hang in there TOB, it is another day.

labmonkey 9 years, 10 months ago

Heavy traffic is the worst. I can handle all the other conditions fine. I trust myself, just not the other idiots.

Sigmund 9 years, 10 months ago

The worst conditions is when it is raining and snowing and you are driving on ice at night with extreme winds, in heavy traffic. Driving in a Kansas winter is an adventure.

bearded_gnome 9 years, 10 months ago

Uh oh. Someone woke up Site Staff. How the heck does Gnome get a post deleted. He is about the only cat on here that is honorable and decent.--TOBwell, I bow to your kind comments. however, what probably got me pulled there was reference to your "tight" analogy above! also in that post:worst driving conditions:she's driving with a cell phone on one ear, kids in the back of the SUV out of control, and they're all eating fast food. and, oh look, on the horizon, there's a roundabout!

JackRipper (Anonymous) says: "What it sounds like is we need more trains, interurbans, and trolleys."Amusing as always, jackie, in a senile sort of way. A town that can't even keep its bus system from floundering from lack of use, and you think the solution is to build more public transit. But that's your answer to everything that people don't want to use, just build more of it, right, jackie?Or are you going to rant about how the socialist government subsidizes cars but not buses tonight? Maybe the 'T' is dying because of the NAFTA conspiracy or the Social Security debacle, jackie? Which rant are you going off on tonight, it's so hard to keep your ramblings straight.I think it's time to call the nursing home staff and tell them your diaper needs changing again, jackie, 'cause you're even more full of 'it' tonight than usual.
