Great, for fourty five years I have been suppressing the instinct to fight and hurt other people. Now, violence has become "trendy". Being a savage has become a novelty, I hope. It is pretty frightening to think we have come full circle to the point where people need to be entertained by the brutal savagery of violence. What is next?? Feed innocent people to the "caged lions"??? This disgust me but doesn't surprise me. We are a violent society and it is just getting worse. How Sad.

Sad to think that the finest athletes in the world are criticized for the evolution of their sport. Only someone who doesn't understand the sport of MMA would be so judgmental. I won't downplay it's violent nature, but I will defend it when criticized by ignorance.

What you are describing is the increase in crime. People feel it necessary to carry weapons to protect themselves and their families. It is sad indeed, but it would be much sadder if unarmed victims were prey to armed criminals as they have been for many years. This has changed in the past several years, to give victims a level playing field. That is something positive that has come from the increase in crime. Thank you, Lynn
