She looked like a wooden Indian! It was obvious she was reading straight from a script. She hade no animation. No passion, no anger, no nothing. And her repeated theme line grew instantly stale since it was delivered with so little enthusiasm or passion.

Pitiful, simply pitiful!

She did look very stiff and showed little emotion--except for tense and nervous. She will get better with practice. Bush has.

Disingenuous. Insincere. This is how I would describe the Democrat response to the president's state of the union address last night. Governor Kathleen Sebelius embarrassed herself and her state by pandering to the left and exposing her liberal bias. Whatever slim majority the Democrat party may hold in Congress evaporates under the mandate of 55 million Americans who reelected President Bush in 2004. These Americans want to finish the job in Iraq and Afghanistan and bring peace and stability to the middle east. Lame duck? Hardly. Congress needs to cooperate and bargain with the president on equal footing. The Democrats lack a working majority. Else they will go down as the least popular and most incompetent congress in history. Now get to work!

What about the nearly 55 million who voted against him? Methinks the Topekan is suffering from the delusion of mandate. Given the number of Republicans that are abandoning W, the working majority will be there.

I love how the majority of the poll thinks she did very well, but the majority of the posts on here are extremely negative. Guess the old republican's have nothing better to do than troll the message boards during the day.

Look, I like our Governor. But she was a bit stiff with the delivery last night - almost to the point where one wonders if she really believed what she was saying. The theme of bi-partisanship is being raised quite often this political season - so tell me something new about how to ACHIEVE it! Are the Dems going to give on making tax breaks permanent? Are GOPers going to give on S-CHIP? Let's walk the walk now that we've talked the talk.

I listened on the radio and she made a lot of sense about most things, but her delivery was too low-key. She is a bit too soft-pedal for my taste, but then, I'm not from Kansas.

Topekan7 What you mean is that Congress just needs to bend over and do whatever Bush tells them to do. He's that one that doesn't work well with others. Not to mention the former Republican speaker of the house from Texas, who refused to even talk to Democrats. Yes, we need bipartisan work, but we haven't gotten it for the last 7 years, and probably won't until Bush is gone.

She would not make the cut on Ameridcan Idol, that's for sure.
