I am pleased to see the quantity of people honoring the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform today. I am also saddened that the contractor of the construction project at 11th and Indiana choose to not allow the alien workforce enjoy a day off with their families to honor that sacrifice. It is entirely possible, though, that their families are out of country awaiting the money transfer from their fathers, brothers, and husbands. Hopefully, the contractor will give them the Labor day weekend off, unless they are building the Recreation Center.
