Virginia and Pete Curran are pictured June 13 at the Lawrence school district’s office, after the school board recognized Pete for his many years of service as district legal counsel and a public school advocate. He shared the district’s 2011 Outstanding Citizen Award with Kathy Davis, a volunteer with the Lawrence Schools Foundation’s board of trustees.
