One of Gill’s Stars: Nathaniel Hoopes, an eighth-grader at Southwest Middle School, met Kansas University head football coach, Turner Gill, during an afternoon football practice Nov. 17 in Memorial Stadium. Nathaniel was selected by his teachers to be one of Coach Gill’s Stars. He is the son of Lauren and John Hoopes, Lawrence. John submitted the photo.
