Greg Benefiel says his time as a volunteer for the Douglas County Ambulance Service will help him in his current job as a Douglas County DUI prosecutor.

When Kenny Click was young, his father taught him the importance of helping others. Now, at 49, Click still practices his father's mantra and is passing it on to his own children.
Pete and Cathy Schneider often help their elderly neighbors with yard work, cleaning the house and getting them to the airport or church. The couple are also active volunteers, especially with United Way and Family Promise.
