This 1966 Shelby GT350 was recently found beneath years of accumulated junk in a shed at the Villa 26 Apartments, 2859 Four Wheel Drive. The vehicle will be sold at auction in San Antonio; similar GT350s have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A Wakarusa Valley student's poster shows appreciation for efforts to save the school. The Lawrence school board voted to close the school southeast of Clinton Lake at the end of the school year. Leaders have yet to determine what to do with the school building, which was soon to celebrate its 50th birthday.

Kansas University researcher Steven Barlow is a co-developer of the NTrainer System, which is equipped with a pacifier and is designed to synthesize the sucking sensation to help premature babies with difficulties feeding. Barlow is one of 150 scientists from more than 20 academic departments contributing research to KU’s Schiefelbusch Institute for Life Span Studies.
