Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in south India complete an Interfaith World Peace Sand Mandala on Monday at the Lawrence Arts Center. The Monks constructed the intricate Mandala over three days. The sand painting was swept up Monday afternoon and then put in the Kansas River.

Barbara Mozingo and her husband, George Bowen, have been traveling the country in their RV for about the past five years, helping homeless people along the way. With the help of her daughter Laura Pate, of Lecompton, Mozingo would like to create a store run by local churches in Lawrence to provide people transitioning into housing with donated home furnishings.
