From the Lawrence Daily World of May 24, 1908: “Something of a sensation occurred in Leavenworth yesterday when a Presbyterian church pastor was ousted because he had written some ‘fool’ letters to one of the younger girls in the congregation.

Since December 1989, when he bought Muncher’s Bakery, Mike Tennyson has been preparing the pastries that Lawrence residents can’t get enough of.
