The second candidate announced for the top job at the Kansas University Edwards Campus is a professor and administrator at Indiana University.
KU announced Barbara Bichelmeyer on Tuesday as the second of three finalists to be vice chancellor of the Edwards Campus in Overland Park. Bichelmeyer is a professor of instructional systems technology and associate vice president for university academic planning and policy at IU-Bloomington, and she is also director of the Office of Online Education for all seven IU campuses.
Bichelmeyer will visit the Lawrence and Edwards campuses Thursday and Friday. She will make a public presentation and have a question-and-answer session from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday in room 120 of the BEST Building on the Edwards Campus.
The first candidate announced for the job was Keith Pickus, interim provost and a professor at Wichita State University. The third candidate is due to make a public presentation Jan. 30. KU will announce the last candidate's name about two days before, according to a release.
