A 38-year-old Lawrence man was charged in Douglas County District Court on Monday with one count of home burglary.

Christopher T. Beard was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly breaking into a residence in the 3000 block of Oxford Road shortly before 8 a.m. According to police, the man was intoxicated and entered the home through an unlocked garage door. A $10,000 bond was set for Beard, who faces up to 11 years in prison on the charge.
